Please note that all of the rivers featured in these videos are upstream
of any salmon and sea trout spawning beds, ususally upstream of
waterfalls too high for fish to leap. We do not pan on salmon and sea
trout rivers from November to May, when fish are spawning and young fish
are hatching, and we always work with
land owners to ensure panning is conducted in a responsible manner. I
have made friends with quite a number of brown trout, who love to swim
around me when I'm sniping so they can scoff worms that come out of the hard
pack. The fish are quite happy to have us around :)
